RK 881 Double-Sided Mounting Tape – Overview
The RK 881 double-sided mounting tape is a foam mounting tape with adhesive on both sides, made from PE foam. With a width of 1,250 mm and a length of 66 m, it provides a generous adhesive area, while its thickness of 0.8 mm allows good cushioning and even adhesion. The adhesive is made from rubber, and the liner is silicone paper in white. This combination makes it easier to bond large areas on both sides and is particularly suitable for assemblies where a neat appearance is required.
The PE foam structure distributes pressure evenly and compensates for irregularities. Its matt white surface minimises visible edges and blends into a range of assembly settings.
Suitable Applications on Smooth Surfaces
The mounting tape is suitable for bonding components on both sides to smooth metal, plastic or glass surfaces, particularly indoors. The foam construction provides good adhesion under moderate loads and accommodates irregularities in the substrates without scratching the surfaces.
