Krückemeyer RK 885 Double-Sided Mounting Tape at a Glance
The RK 885 double-sided mounting tape is a mounting system with adhesive on both sides and made from PE foam. With a width of 1,250 mm and a roll length of 50 m, it provides a flexible solution for attaching large areas. Its thickness of 0.8 mm allows a low-profile, almost invisible assembly, while the 76 mm core allows stable unwinding from the roll. The adhesive is an acrylic adhesive that provides reliable adhesion to many substrates, and the silicone paper serves as a liner and protection during storage.
The PE foam backing structure provides pressure compensation, a slight insulating effect and vibration-damping properties, suitable where assembled components need stability without placing strain on the surface. The distinctive white colour makes subsequent visual integration easier in many assembly settings.
Applications for RK 885 Double-Sided Mounting Tape
The tape is suitable for attaching components, strips, signs and covers on both sides to smooth surfaces such as metal, glass or painted plastic indoors. The PE foam backing accommodates minor irregularities, providing an even contact area.

Construction and Material Selection
The construction is based on a robust PE foam backing with an acrylic adhesive layer applied to both sides of the backing. The silicone paper liner protects the adhesive layer until use.

PE foam provides flexible pressure distribution and a low profile, producing a seamless assembly result.
Adhesive
The acrylic adhesive provides good adhesion to typical assembly substrates and good resistance to temperature and moisture.
Application & Practice
Before assembly, make surfaces clean, dry and free from grease. Apply evenly and remove the protective liner gradually. After positioning, apply pressure to ensure full surface contact.
