RK 872 Double-Sided Fabric Adhesive Tape at a Glance
The RK 872 double-sided fabric adhesive tape combines a fabric backing with a synthetic rubber adhesive and a silicone paper liner, making it suitable for bonding on both sides. At 1,360 mm wide and 50 m long, it provides a long supply of tape. Its thickness is 0.25 mm, and the 76 mm core makes it easier to use with standard cassettes or machines. Its transparent colour makes adhesive joints unobtrusive.
The fabric backing provides tear resistance and conforms well to contours, while the solvent-free adhesive provides robust adhesion to a variety of substrates. Its transparency minimises the visibility of the bond, particularly on visually sensitive surfaces.
Suitable for Double-Sided Bonding with a Fabric Backing
This tape is specifically suitable for temporary or permanent attachments in which two components are joined by an adhesive surface. Adhesion on both sides saves assembly time, reduces visible adhesive seams and allows clean bonds on fabric or similar substrates.

Good Conformability Thanks to the Fabric Backing
The fabric backing conforms flexibly to irregular surfaces and edges, producing even adhesion. The combination of rubber adhesive and transparency also allows an unobtrusive bond in visually demanding applications.
Application Tips
- Surface preparation: Ensure substrates are clean, dry and free from grease.
- Attach the first side: Apply one side of the tape to the first component and press down firmly.
- Expose both sides: Remove the release liner from the second side and position the second component.
- Final pressing: Press the bond down across its full area to ensure even adhesion.
